Dan Vega - President Dan was hired as a firefighter/paramedic by the
San Jose Fire Department in 2002.
In 2007, he was promoted to
fire engineer. He has an AS Degree
in Fire Science from Mission College. Dan is married to an ER Nurse and
together they are raising their 3 kids: 5 year old twins and a 2 year old baby
girl. Also, Dan enjoys playing
ice hockey.

Jim Aparicio - Vice President
Jim has been with SJFD since 2001.
He currently holds the rank of Captain.
He and his wife are dedicated to the mission of the SJFF Burn
Foundation.

Doug Biddle - Seargent at Arms Doug has been in fire service for 22 years - 12 of which have been with the San Jose Fire Department. He was a paramedic until San Jose hired him. He has been married for 17 years and has 4 children ranging in age from 7 to 13, including 2 girls and 2 boys. Doug enjoys surfing, boating, wakeboarding and camping and spends most of his free time coaching youth sports such as baseball and softball.

Brent Primrose - Secretary
Brent was hired
into the San Jose Fire Department as a
firefighter/paramedic in 1996. He also holds a
faculty position at Foothill College teaching
the next
generation of paramedics. His off duty time
usually involves running, mountain biking or planning the next scuba
dive
trip.

Eric Nichols - Shift B Trustee
Eric was hired as a
Firefighter Paramedic by the San Jose Fire Department in 2002. In
2009, he promoted to Fire
Engineer. He has a BA Degree in Psychology from San Jose State University. Eric
believes strongly in the Burn Foundation's commitment to helping the community
and he looks forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Eric
is a 49ers fan and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Scott Coscarelli
Scott was born and raised in San Jose and always dreamed of being a firefighter. For
over six years he worked as an EMT and then a paramedic while going to school.
During that time, he earned an AS degree from Mission College and a BS
degree in psychology from San Jose
State University. He was hired by the San Jose Fire Department in 1998 as a
Firefighter/Paramedic and promoted to Fire Engineer in 2003. He and his wife Pam stay busy
with their almost 5 year old twins and their busy schedule. In his spare time,
Scott and his family enjoy traveling, camping, and spending time with
friends.

Matt Chekouras - Shift C Trustee Matt was hired by the San Jose Fire Department in 2002. Matt is married
to Gina, who is a 1st grade school teacher. They are proud parents of 1
daughter who is 3 years old. Matt enjoys the outdoors and likes to camp,
hike
and ride mountain bikes with his family and friends.

Mitch Wisinski - Advisor Mitch is a 28 year veteran with the San Jose Fire Department. He is currently a Captain at Fire Station #20. He has worked with the Burn Foundation since 1990 and he enjoys time with family and friends. Also, he is still employed by the Fire Fighter's Clown Brigade as "High Rise."
